Fight on, Fighter photo blog

This song is from my favorite band, For King and Country. All of their songs are unique and their messages can truly touch you in their songs. When I need a pick me up, I usually will listen to one of their songs. This song has been my go to this year. I feel like whatever you have faced in your life or are currently facing now, this song can apply. I think that is what is so beautiful about music. It can touch a wide audience and relate to their story no matter what you are going through.

I truly hope this song reminds you how strong and brave you are. Sometimes life can be a battle in certain seasons. I understand it can be hard to get out of bed in the morning because you are scared to face the day. I understand the silent battles that you may be facing. I hope this can be your sign to keep fighting because God will always be fighting for you. So, fight on, fighter.

Intro:

I was there on the day that you were changed

You were scared and prepared for the heartbreak

Everything you knew faded out of view

Stole a piece of you

If I could, oh, I would be a hero

Be the one who would take all the arrows

Save you from the pain, carry all the weight

But I know that you’re brave

A lot of the times in life we cannot always see heartbreak or disaster coming. But other times, we can be in situations that we knew would happen eventually. Those can sometimes sting worse. Any kind of heartbreak or trauma that occurs to us in life is painful and can change us. If our loved ones see us go through anything hard, most would want to take our pain away if they could. And I know that a lot of people pray to God to take their pain away. I know I have before. But I do believe God does not like to see us in pain and if He does not take it away, that trial can bring good. Your loved ones know that you are brave and God knows that you are brave.

Chorus:

Fight on, fighter

Don’t let anyone steal your fire

Fight on, fighter

The Spirit is alive inside ya, yeah

If no one has told you, you are a fighter and even if it does not feel like it right now, you can make it through what ever you are facing. You have so much strength on the inside of you, more than you may feel. Especially because God lives on the inside of you. That is your superpower. God’s spirit is literally alive within yours and He is giving you the strength and bravery to face each day. He will help you if you believe He will and reach out to Him in faith.

Next Section:

There’s a part that you hold that you lock down

Let it breathe, give it wings, set it free now

Time to make ya walk, break the prison bars

Show them who you are

Sometimes we keep things hidden that happen to us or trials that we are walking through too locked up. You may think that the trial staying locked in your heart will be safe there. But what I have learned is, you have to release your grip on your trials you walk through or trauma you have faced. There is power in setting it free, talking about it with someone you trust and giving it over to God. The enemy wants to keep that pain on you and convince you you can never be free from it. But with God, you can walk through these trials with strength and joy. You can release into His loving hands and not just hope, but KNOW He will take care of you and bring good out of it. So have the courage to face what you have been through or are going through, stand up and show the enemy who you are. And those prison bars will crumble beneath you and you will be free.

Chorus Repeats

Next Section:

Stronger than you than you ever thought

I know you’re stronger

Braver than you were before

You know you’re braver

Oh, no, you don’t have to be afraid

Together we’ll face it

So don’t ever stop no matter what

‘Cause you’re gonna make it

When we go through hard things, we can think to ourselves how we will ever get through this. The last thing we feel is strong or brave in the moment. But often when you look back, you know you are stronger because of that trial. You know you are braver, because true bravery is walking through something that is scary and painful but you do it anyways. You face it and you speak life over your circumstances. And the beautiful part about walking through scary things, is you are never alone. God is with you and anything you face in this life, He is facing it with you, holding your hand. The enemy wants you to think this trial will devour you but that is a lie. You are going to make it and be better because of it. So don’t stop fighting through tough situations because being a fighter is built into your DNA, as a child of God. You are stronger than you feel and lean into that strength from God when the going gets tough. There is blessing on the other side of it.

Last Section:

Fight on, fighter

Don’t let anyone steal your fire

Fight on, fighter

The Spirit is alive inside ya, yeah

Fight on, fighter

Don’t let anyone steal your fire

Fight on, fighter

The Spirit is alive inside ya, yeah

I hope this song can encourage you and be a source of comfort during the trials you are facing.

All for Jesus,

Steph
