We all have had the thought that we want our life path to just be easy and happy, right?
But what if I told you, that God does not waste what you go through, especially your pain.
What if I told you, God uses your pain to mold you into a person of character and strong faith?
What if I told you, God will use you to help other people that went through what you did and will save them?
We would have a different perspective on our pain, wouldn’t we?
Well, that is exactly what this song is about and it has been life changing words that I so desperately needed to hear. I wanted to share this extraordinary song and my thoughts on it, from a personal perspective as well.
I know someone out there will need the encouragement that this song gives.
But before I get into this song I wanted to say, I recognize you and your pain and how circumstances are not always easy. But most importantly God sees you. He sees all you have been through and has a good plan for you. He won’t waste what you’ve felt or been through. Someday you will see and you will be better because of it.

When painful circumstances happen to us, we often ask God, why?
It is hard to comprehend and see all what God is doing during those hard times. Especially if God is all powerful, He could have stopped it and prevented the pain. It is a question I know I have wrestled with, in a devastating way.
Waiting on God can be hard and it is a true test of our faith, wondering when God will have us come out of tough seasons. But there is always hope with Jesus. He IS always right next to you, walking the tough times with you and Jesus is the epitome of hope..

In the midst of pain, it is hard to understand why God allowed it and why you are walking through it. Pain makes perspective feel very narrow.
But our perspective is so limited. God knows every piece of your life puzzle and has a good plan, even for the pain you’ve experienced. Most of us do not know what God is doing with all of those tough times and seasons we have walked through. But, one day, we will see what God was doing and the pain will be behind us and peace and healing will be in us.
And we will be better because of it.

I know personally, this part of the song has always spoken to me in a deeper way.
Even though we may have questions for God and cannot always see what God is doing in the middle of painful circumstances, God always has a plan. And can I tell you something? It is always good.
If you let Him, God can use your pain for His glory. He can use it for good, in a way you cannot even fathom yet.
I truly believe if you believe in Him wholeheartedly and believe in His miracles, you will see God move in your live and in your pain, in amazing ways.
The best thing about being a believer in Jesus, is that we do not have to go through our pain or circumstances alone. We always have Him next to us, holding us, and putting unexpected, beautiful blessings in our path for us to walk to. There is so much hope and beauty from a life with Jesus Christ.

I feel like these lyrics speak for themselves.
When I was walking through some painful circumstances in my past, I thought for sure they were going to break me. I feel like they almost did.
But I feel like those very things that I thought were going to break me, God used them to bring me to Him. Looking back, there it is. So much beauty that broke through in the midst of suffocating pain. And I feel like that was only the beginning. He will use those times for me and for you to mold your character and to make you a true vessel for His amazing work.
I know for me, that thought always stops me in my tracks. The God of the universe, of all existence, will use me?
God can do everything on His own, He doesn’t need us. But He chose us. He chose you to bring glory to His name and be used for His kingdom. That always puts me in awe and how thankful I am for that truth.
There will be times when your faith is wearing down and you do not feel that God will use what you have gone through. Living in a broken world, you will experience trials and the consequences of sin from others as well. But, you can rest assured knowing that God brings good out of everything. He is making you stronger through it all and there is so much hope ahead.
I also came across this analogy and I wanted to share it with this song because I feel it is the perfect song for it:
Imagine 2 ceramic pots. One is cracked and is missing pieces and the other is perfect. Now put a candle into both of them and put a lid on.
Which pot do you see more light coming through?
The broken one. That’s what God does. You have to be broken to let God’s light shine through ❤
