Where is God in our waiting?

Do you sometimes feel like you don’t know where God is leading you or even where God is in our seasons of “waiting”?

I know I have felt that way. But the truth is, that feeling and question of where is God, is just an illusion of our minds. God is with us and always will be. Even when it doesn’t feel like it, God has His hand on our current circumstances and cares about our lives immensely.

When we go through seasons of waiting, it can be painful, messy, and a feeling of being lost. We are not always in seasons where we feel on top of the world, but I know that those valley seasons and in our waiting, we can still praise Jesus and it can produce the best qualities and strengthen our faith in a very significant way.

It is how you choose to wait in your waiting that is significant to your faith

I read something today that said, God cares about the birds and what they will eat and providing for them. Don’t you think if he cares about birds, He cares about you that much more? He cares about your path and has a good plan for your life.

Trust His timing for you..

For those in a season of waiting:

God hears your cries and your prayers

God is always with you

God will never leave you nor forsake you

God has immense purpose for your life and purpose for your waiting

There are many seasons in life. There are seasons when everything is going right and we hear God’s voice so clearly. We feel His presence so closely, as if He is sitting right next to us. We know what is happening around us, what God is revealing to us, and where He is leading us.

Then there are seasons when we do not know where God is leading us or what is up ahead. The path is unknown. We are dealing with something that is difficult and are waiting to come out of it.  And that is the season I want to focus on today..

I know the season of waiting very well and I know many other people do too. When we are waiting on a certain prayer to be answered or when our life seems a little foggy on where God is leading us.

But no matter how unknown your path may feel right now, you are known to God. He knows all you’re facing right now.  He knows your deepest hurts and He feels them with you everyday.

If you are currently in a season of waiting,  whether that is waiting for healing for sickness, emotional wounds, waiting for any prayer to be answered that is close to your heart, I want to remind you that God is with you right this second and He has a plan.

He sees you and He has a plan for this waiting and season you are in. I know how hard it can be to wait for prayers to be answered and to be hurting.

But through my experiences and learning about Jesus more, I know He has His hand over everything in your life. He knew what hardships you would face before you knew you were going to face them.

I know it isn’t easy what you are going through and it is hard to wait for prayers to be answered and not know what is ahead, but I believe this season of waiting can be a crucial and significant time, as much as the time of when healing happens.

God knows far more than we can see with our earthly eyes. He has a bigger plan for everything and I wholeheartedly believe, He will bring good out of what you are facing now. God is always molding us and making us into the person we are meant to be. I know He has a bigger reason for your “ waiting”. Maybe He is trying to teach you to rely on Him through all circumstances. He wants your whole heart, even when you feel like everything is crashing down.

I have had my whole world flip around and burn around me when I was 15 years old. One night when all the hurt boiled over and I had no one to turn to, I cried the hardest I have ever cried. I fell to the ground in complete despair. And when I say complete despair, I thought my life was truly over before it ever really began.

But whatever it was, God still lived on the inside of me and I cried upon the Lord to save me, to help me and give me a future. He answered me and was standing right beside me carrying me through it all along, even when I could not feel that He was.. He brought me out of that pain and made beauty from the ashes.

I have learned and am learning that in our seasons of waiting, that is when our faith is really tested. I feel the time in our waiting, is really crucial and significant moments in our relationship with Jesus. We can choose to get discouraged and distant with God, or we can choose to keep praising Him in despite of our circumstances and strengthen our relationship with Him. Stay strong in prayer and focus on getting to know Jesus more and when you do that, praise becomes stronger and your joy starts to comes from Jesus and not your circumstances you are facing.

Of course there are going to be days, especially if you are waiting for healing or to get out of difficult circumstances, that are going to be hard and you do feel discouraged. But on those days, even if you have to fight so hard to stay close to Jesus, then fight. Keep fighting to follow Him and praise Him in the hallway. Our faith walks will not always be easy and we will not always be standing on the hilltops in joy, but every season provides a unique opportunity to strengthen our faith and relationship with Jesus and see the good in His name.

Our faith goes through many seasons. Some seasons we witness miracles and are praising God with tears in our eyes for His goodness, ready to tattoo His name on our skin. And other seasons our faith is tested and we fight our minds and thoughts that God hears us and still has a good plan for us, even if we are not seeing our prayers answered yet. Life can be so messy, but through the mess, Jesus is always with us and will never leave us in the face of our trials.

Being a follower of Jesus, we have a different hope than others that do not have that belief in Jesus. No matter what you face, you always have that HOPE and there is so much peace in that. That there is a living, breathing God, who loves us and is rooting for us like no one else.

Jesus can build beautiful testimonies through our trials. I believe we need to keep our childlike faith during those difficult seasons. We need to believe that He is writing our story and we can still choose to praise and serve God everyday, until our prayers our answered and beyond. If God is making you wait, be prepared to receive great things and blessings.

I know waiting is hard, painful, and scary. But If we believe God is the creator of the universe and He is a good, good God, He will answer our prayers in His timing and it will be in an even more beautiful way than we can ever imagine, like scripture says in Ephesians 3:20.

No matter how hard it is sometimes to be in a season of waiting, I know because I have been in the past and I am in one right now, I am still so thankful for my God and that on my hardest days, when I am praying, He is listening to me intently, in the most loving way. I know He has His hand on my current circumstances and my battles I am fighting and that makes me smile and look up to the heavens with gratitude.

If you are reading this and are in a season of waiting on God, I ask you do not give up hope in our Father and keep fighting everyday to stay close to Him and ask Him to help you grow through this season. I know He is right beside you in this moment and if we pulled back the curtain of heaven, we WOULD see His hand over everything we face. I hope that gives you peace and I hope this encourages you that you are not alone when you walk with Jesus. Because I want you to imagine for a second, what if you decided to turn from Jesus, who would you have to turn to? Jesus is our source of hope and the one who loves us more than we can fathom. Trust in His love for you and love Him back, because we are blessed to be able to have our heavenly father with us.

He’s got you and loves you so much.

I want to provide some scripture that has personally given me peace through difficult seasons. I also want to type and speak a prayer over whoever is reading this right now that needs that peace and encouragement in their own, individual season of “waiting” :

Father, I just ask that whoever is reading this right now and is in need of you, to stay close to their hearts and let them feel your loving presence.

I ask that in our seasons of waiting, that you guide us and give us a peace that surpasses understanding. Father, I also ask that whoever is reading this and whatever they are facing that you heal them, you uplift them and you strengthen their hearts toward you. Allow them to grow through this mess and reveal the good that is ahead for them.

In Jesus name, Amen ❤

Psalm 37:4 – Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:7 – Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.

Habakkuk 1:5– Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed, For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.

Ephesians 3:20 – Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.

Exodus 14:4– The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.

Romans 8:24-28 – For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intrudes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Hope these verses bless you, fill you up and remind you that God is in control and will get you through..

All for Jesus,

Steph
